Practical and theory driven course adapted according to the needs and experience of students.


Mountaineering and its different aspects: ascents, routes, traversing etc.

Personal and group equipment: characteristics and usage (Piolet, Crampons, ARVA, etc)

Progression techniques: ascending and descending different inclines.

Rope techniques: tying and coiling, rope safety, rapels, etc.

Preparing for winter ascents: map reading, food & drink, weather patterns, timetables etc.

Safety: Prevention, assessment and rescue techniques.

 

The extent to which we address each aspect will depend upon the group ability and the duration of the course.

    DURATION: 1 to 4 days

    LEVELS: Beginner and improvement

    MINIMUM GROUP: 4 students.

    MINIMUM AGE: 14 years.
