The Aguake is a very suitable descent to begin in the world of canyoning.
A short, simple and pretty descent that doesn’t require you to be super fit. This a really fun and wonderful experience for those that have never tried canyoning before.
The Aguake ravine is located in the Alavesa locality of Antoñana, a small jewel in the middle of nature in Montaña Alavesa.
We will begin the descent of the ravine from the mill of Oteo, on the road that leads from Oteo to Antoñana, this is where this flour mill of 1736 is located, one of the most beautiful of the Montaña Alavesa.
From the vicinity of the mill, after equipping ourselves with the neoprene suit, harness with descent material and helmet, we will start a short, simple and very nice descent that hardly requires physical form.
This canyon descent is well suited to families or to people that aren’t used to physical activity, but who really want to experience the thrill of canyoning.
We start with a 10 metre abseil, that you can repeat if you like. Then we head down to a part of the river with narrow walls. Here we encounter some great pools and a second abseil, this time only 4m in height. The next part is the widest point and also the prettiest, leading us to the Aguake waterfall where we take an 8m slide down. If you are looking to organise an event for your family or for a stag/hen do, this is an ideal activity to try out.
